Frequently Asked Questions

What is coaching?

Coaching is different from counseling or mentoring.

Counseling looks at your past while Coaching looks at your future.

Mentoring allows the mentor to share their knowledge and personal experience with their mentee while the coach empowers the client to forge their own path of growth and transformation.

Coaching is more that just a coffee date. It is an intentional conversation in which your coach asks questions to help you process your past, present and future that brings opportunities for growth and transformation with the help of Christ Jesus.

Whether you are stuck in a monotonous routine or getting ready to embark on God's new calling on your ministry, working with a coach is one way to discover how to move forward and align yourself with God's plan.

What does a coach do?

  • provides a safe confidential space to process and think through your goals

  • sees you as the fearfully and wonderfully made child of God that you are

  • asks powerful, transformative questions that spark reflection and growth

  • empowers you to tackle the challenges before you

  • encourages you to keep going when obstacles arise along with the help of your Heavenly Father

  • guides you to break down your goal into manageable steps

  • celebrates each success with you- no matter how small

What does a coaching package look like?

  • You decide on a goal that we will work on together. We will focus on an overarching goal for the duration of your commitment. Each individual session will have its own goal that will help you achieve your main goal over time.

  • We will meet 1-on-1 for 60 minute sessions twice a month (allowances are made for holidays and busy ministry seasons)

  • We will meet for a minimum of 6 sessions over a 3 month time period.

  • We will pray at the beginning of each session asking for the Holy Spirit to bring guidance and ultimate wisdom to our sessions

  • During each session, we will attack the session goal processing your strengths, weaknesses, past experiences, and God's purpose and calling on your life as you formulate a plan of achievable tasks that catapult you toward your overarching goal.

  • In between sessions, you will work on actions steps that you have defined. The effectiveness depends on the amount of effort you put forth to accomplish your action steps.

  • You will be asked to fill out a prep form before each coaching session to reflect on the past two weeks and get the most out of our time together. You will submit the prep form 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.

Where do we meet?

For an online session, you'll be provided with a link to meet over zoom.

If you live in Quito, you have the option of meeting in person at a mutually defined location once your appointment is scheduled.
